Huge kudos to our volunteers

To pull off a three-course meal for 80 people is no mean feat, to do it in a field is even more incredible. Behind the glamour is a lot of hard work. Massive massive thanks to everyone who has made tonight happen in such a seamless way.

All the fun of the fair

Welcome to everyone that has joined us to celebrate our 75th anniversary. Whilst our guests and Scouts are enjoying the games, or chilling out in the sensory tent, our volunteers are busy washing up and preparing for this evenings celebratory meal, all prepared by our very own kitchen volunteers.

Camp is open

This morning we have had our first inspection, formally opened camp, as well as handed out some long service awards. Our volunteers are incredible with several having attended over 40 camps, an amazing achievement. We’ve also welcomed our new Scouts and volunteers and awarded them their Agoonoree scarf.

Happy 75th Agoonoree!

Today marks 75 years of Agoonoree camps. We have lots of festivities planned and visits by friends from the past.

To get us ready for the day ahead we’ve been waking up and shaking up whilst the kitchen volunteers prep us a hearty breakfast and the general volunteers put up the sensory tent for anyone who may need some time out.

Happy birthday Agoonoree!

Songs around the camp fire

We finish our first day of Agoonoree 2022 with the traditional campfire, and a few football anthems thrown in for good measure. A mug of cocoa and we’ll be ready for bed.

It’s great to be back!

After a year of camp at home in 2020 and a reduced camp in 2021 it’s great to be back together for the full camp we know and love in 2022.

We look forward to meeting new friends, reacquainting with old ones and say a hearty hello to those that can’t join us this year.

We’ll have a few hours to settle in before an afternoon of karaoke and evening around the camp fire.

One more sleep

The advance party have arrived on site and been working hard all day to put up the tents ready for the arrival of our Scouts and volunteers tomorrow. Fingers crossed the sun continues to shine and we can enjoy the glorious view over the Thames from Moulsford prep school, always so welcoming to us. We’re looking forward to a week away from it all whilst learning new skills for life. You can follow what we get up to here, and via Twitter @AgoonoreeLondon

Three weeks to go

We’ve held our final planning meeting, ordered some dry weather and created a fun filled programme. Only three weeks to go until Agoonoree 2022 kicks off. We look forward to re-acquainting ourselves with old friends and making many new ones as we celebrate our 75th camp at the very supportive Moulsford School near Oxford.
