Agoonoree 2021 has begun

After months of planning and a slight curve ball in 2020 we are finally back at camp. The tents are up, the flag raised and woggles handed out. Camp is open!

Only one week to go!

The countdown has begun, next Monday we will be meeting once again to hold a face to face camp. Sleeping bags are being dusted off, scarves are being rolled and fingers crossed for dry whether…Agoonoree 2021 is nearly here…

Camp will go on

With great pleasure we can announce that a face to face camp will be going ahead. We have an exciting variety of activities planned for our Scouts and volunteers at Scout Park from Monday 2nd to Friday 7th August. Thank you to all our supporters who have enabled this to happen in such challenging circumstances. We look forward to sharing further details about our fun-filled week as it progresses.

Return to Moulsford postponed

With the ongoing Covid-19 situation we’ve had to make the hard decision to postpone our return to Moulsford to another year. The team are working hard to enable some form of face to face meeting during our usual camping week. We hope to see you there.

Old acquaintances and new friends

As we move to a new year our thoughts turn to Agoonoree 2021. As with the rest of the country we are hoping that life returns to normal and we are able to hold a face to face camp in 2021. It was lovely to see so many people join our at-home camp in 2020 and would like to thank all our supporters for enabling this to happen. We are hoping to return to Moulsford Prep School for Agoonooree 2021 from 31 July to 7 August to meet old acquaintances and make new friends.

Our 200 Club would welcome your support

Our 200 Club regularly supports our camp with a funding donation.

It’s only £10 for the year and as well as supporting our camp for Scouts with special needs you will have a chance to win one of four prizes each month. The first draw will be at the end of October.

The 200 Club runs from October to July and there are 10 lucky draws. The first prize every month is £50.00; second prize is £30.00 and third and fourth prizes are £10.00. All the money left over at the end of the year will be spent directly on the Scouts attending our very special camp.

You can find out more here, and if you know anyone else that might like to join, we are always very grateful for new members.

Always look on the bright side of life

Camp 2020 has come to an end. It wasn’t the camp we were planning at the beginning of the year, but it will certainly be memorable. We’ve still managed our traditional camp photo, wake up shake up, camp fire and disco. We even managed to present the happiest camper award and finished with our camp anthem, “always look on the bright side of life”. Thank you to everyone who has ensured this years camp could happen, and hopefully we can meet in person in 2021.
