Our volunteers

Agoonoree gives Scouts with additional needs a week long camping experience every summer but it is only successful through the hard work and commitment of our volunteers.

Our patrol volunteers look after the physical and pastoral care of our Scouts. They ensure our Scouts have everything they need to make the most of the week from supporting participation in activities to sufficient food and drink.

Our entertainment team are responsible for designing and running the entertainment programme for the week, including day trips to local attractions.

Activities include themed arts and crafts, rock climbing, sailing, camp fire songs, hikes, swimming, acting, Dragons Den style challenges, cooking, and Scouting skills. All activities are designed to be inclusive so all our Scouts can participate.

Our kitchen volunteers design a varied menu and prepare meals for everyone on site. All food is freshly cooked in our tented kitchen with a focus on a balanced and healthy diet, ensuring all dietary needs are catered for.

Our general staff volunteers ensure the site is kept clean and tidy and support the whole camp as issues arise. They wash up the catering dishes used by the kitchen, repair facilities, administer medication and ensure we have electricity and running hot and cold water to our marquees.

Our dedicated laundry team spend the week ensuring everyone is able to have clean tea towels, sleeping bags and clothes.

If you would like to volunteer or are able to supply goods to support our kitchen or entertainment teams please contact us.
