The rain kept coming but we still managed to take part in our last race, the eliminator. Gladiator day has finished with a final camp fire, until it was rained off.
It’s been a wet day on the field but we’re a resilient bunch and gladiator day has gone ahead. We’ve been racing each other, making banners and played Merv’s famous horse racing game. Well done to the Kingfishers for galloping home in first place.
Whilst our patrols have been out having all the fun of the fair, the ents team were busy transforming the marquee into a Greek taverna and the kitchen team were cooking up a Greek feast. Everyone deserves a relaxing evening at the Agoonoree Odeon tonight.
After a morning at the seaside we headed to the bowling alley for some light hearted competition. Good practice for Gladiator day tomorrow.
Today we’ve headed to the beach for some fresh sea air, and a few rollercoasters, before heading to the shops later this afternoon.
We’re finishing our day at the cabaret. Singing, poetry, jokes, hypnotism and play your cards right. Something for everyone.
This afternoon we’ve been learning more new skills as we climbed to new heights.
Today we’ve been learning new ways to pass messages, through sign language, UV writing, morse code and more.
Agoonoree is planned and run by a large team of volunteers so big thanks to all those that we don’t see. Those who are doing the laundry, washing up, cooking, cleaning the toilets, keeping our kit serviceable and planning our activities. Planning has already started for camp 2026 with admin and treasurer roles also behind the scenes. Thank you team.
