Goodbye, farewell

So long for another year. The tents are down, the container packed and most of Scouts and volunteers have headed home. It’s been a great week with new experiences, new friends and new skills. Thank you everyone and see you in 2026.

Happy big birthday

This year one of our volunteers is celebrating two big milestones, his 70th birthday and 50th camp. To celebrate, Keith is undertaking a sponsored skydive to raise funds for Agoonoree. The fees our Scouts and volunteers pay only cover 2/3 of the cost of camp. The rest needs to be raised through grants and fundraising. We are fortunate that some companies provide their services for free, but we still need to raise £10000 a year. If you would like to support Keith, and Agoonoree, you can do so through our usual fundraising link.

And the award goes to…

As is tradition we’ve come together for one final dinner and the handing out of awards. Well done to all our award winners, including our happiest camper.

Each year we use a tree from the site to make ‘woods’ which are then handed out to our volunteers as a gesture of thanks for everything they have done during the week. This year that’s over 75 volunteers, with more supporting from behind the scenes.

Second chance Friday

This afternoon we’ve revisited those activities that we really liked before getting ready for our final evening meal and finding out who our award winners are.

Our final day

Our final day on camp has arrived. Tomorrow we pack our bags and board the coaches to make our way home. We still have time for some more fun though, and a chance to try our favourite activities again. And of course the famous patrol leader race…
