Day one draws to a close

Day one has concluded with the traditional campfire. Our coaches arrived early this afternoon which gave plenty of time to unpack and settle in before some karaoke and dinner. This evening we’ve been putting those warmed up voices to good use as our patrols sing their favourite songs. We look forward to officially opening camp in the morning and another fun filled day.

We’re ready to go

Well done to our volunteers, and thank you to the HSBC volunteers pictured below, for getting the site ready for the arrival of our Scouts tomorrow. It’s taken over 12 months of offsite prep and 3 days on site but we’re now ready for Agoonoree 2025. Let the fun begin!

Our advance party are on site

On site preparations are well under way for Agoonoree 2025. All our equipment is stored in a container which is moved to and from site each year, thank you to Container Lift again for doing this. We appreciate your ongoing support.

This year we are also delighted to be gifted a new container by MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company who also arranged delivery and will collect the old one. The old container had reached the end of its life, despite best attempts from our amazing volunteers, and a new one was needed to keep our much needed equipment dry and secure.

After each camp our equipment is dried and packed away by our volunteers before Container Lift move it back to Port of Felixstowe for safe keeping. As we are run entirely by volunteers and only 1/3 of our income is from fees we appreciate all these companies who help us minimise our costs.

Thanks for your support

Big thanks to Jonathan, Ben M, Ben, T Ben K and Ash who are walking 140km/100miles, the whole of the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne Pier, in 4 days from 3 May to raise money for Agoonoree. Show your support here.

Thank you and goodnight

Agoonoree 2024 has come to a close. The flags have been lowered, the tents packed away and our Scouts and volunteers are safely home. Thank you to everyone who made camp such a success and we look forward to planning Agoonoree 2025 in due course.

For 2024 we would like to thank The Head and Staff at Moulsford Preparatory school, The Agoonoree (Greater London) Trust Fund, The Agoonoree 200 Club, The Port of Felixstowe, Container Lift, John and everyone at Stamford Contractors, Lee Ryan at Tru Cold Trailers, Bekz and everyone at Uzb Cars, 8th West Wickham, West Wickham Pantomime Society, Clive Ralph at Engraving Village, Selina, Charlotte and everyone at Cavendish, Phil Atkinson at Phoenix Outdoor Centre and Canoe Club, The Whirlwind Charitable Trust, and of course our team of wonderful volunteers.

Chariots of fire

This afternoon we’ve been racing our chariots in front of the Emperor and Empress and racing our rafts in the pool. This evening the trophies will be awarded and the woods handed to our volunteers.

Our final full day

The sun is shining and it’s Roman Day in memory of Andy Mari who gave so much to camp. His camp legacy lives on through his son, grandson and the Agoonoree 200 Club. Thank you for everything Andy.

Rain stops play

The good weather finally had a pause, but luckily the games had concluded. The sun came out to play again just in time for our campfire and medal ceremony. Another fun filled day comes to an end, but there’s plenty more to come on our final full day at camp 2024.
