Preparation continued over the last two days with our volunteer training weekend. Several existing and new volunteers have been updating their first aid, Makaton (see the word ‘champion’ below) and GDPR knowledge, as well as getting to know each other ahead of this years Agoonoree (Greater London) Scout Camp. The menu has been planned and most of activities booked. As we are staying on a Scout site we have numerous sporting and Scouting activities lined up, as well as an art day and Peter Pan theme. We also have two days out planned to visit local landmarks. To help fund this years camp we will be undertaking a camp-wide sponsored event during the week, further details to follow over the next couple of months.
A huge thank you to Pulses UK for choosing the Agoonoree (Greater London) Trust Fund (charity number 303314) as their beneficiary in 2019. The Trust Fund has supported us for many years and it is with their generous donations that camp continues to flourish.
The planning for 2019 is well underway! We are heading to Southampton and this time staying on a Scout site rather than a private school. Invitations are on their way, bookings for toilets, coaches and marquees in place and the entertainment team are building an exciting programme. This year we are looking forward to new activities such as tomahawk throwing and rafting, as well as the old faithful – swimming. We are looking for additional support for this years camp – see our Support Us page for details of how you can help.
