2019 fundraising campaign launched

Land’s End to John O’Groats Sponsored bike ride

Agoonoree Scout Camps have been held for over 70 years and it is only with the help of our supporters that we are able to keep camping.  It has been several years since we held a fundraising campaign as we have been lucky enough to be in receipt of some generous grants.

To fund raise for our 2019 and 2020 camps we are holding a Land’s End to John O’Groats sponsored cycle ride during our 2019 camp.  Over the course of eight days everyone on site will be encouraged to help cycle a total of 874 miles on a static bike fitted with a milometer.  This is an ambitious distance, but we hope your sponsorship will make it worthwhile.

Many of you will know someone who has attended camp and they can testify to how much fun we have and the life skills that we learn.  Please help us to keep camping for another 70 years by sponsoring us at https://www.gofundme.com/agoonoree.

Keep up to date with our progress whilst we cycle at locations across our site, from the flagpole to the campfire, via this website and our Facebook page.

From everyone who has, does and will attend Agoonoree Scout Camp, thank you for your sponsorship and support.

Thank you Heathrow Community Fund

We have been awarded a donation under the Heathrow Community Fund’s Heathrow Active People Initiative (HAPi), run in partnership with Heathrow Airport, to purchase new kitchen equipment. The new equipment will make a big difference to our volunteers in the kitchen as well as being more environmentally friendly. More information about the fund and how to apply for grants is available on the website www.heathrow.com/communityfund
