Getting ready to Zoom

Our volunteers have had their last planning meeting, our Scouts have received their activity boxes and the rain has descended. Camp is here and we are ready to hold our first ever Agoonoree Zoom meeting, history in the making. Only 60 minutes to go until we ring the virtual bell and camp is officially opened.

An unconventional start

Agoonoree is finally here. Normally Sunday consists of flag break and Scouts own, this year each Scout has spent Sunday receiving a hand delivered box of activities to enable everyone to take part in camp. Well done to our volunteers for their determination in putting a camp on this year, and imagination in creating a varied and inclusive programme.

Countdown to camp

With only three days to go until the first Zoom call of our Agoonoree at home 2020 camp the activity boxes are ready and will be distributed by our volunteers. We may not be meeting in person but we still have a fun week lined up with the usual camp fire, disco and wake-up-shake-up, commemorated with a special one off t-shirt. Agoonoree traditions but in a virtual way.

Virtual Agoonoree

Although we unfortunately can’t meet in person this year, we are able to hold a virtual camp from 27 to 31 July 2020. Each Scout participating will receive an activity box in the post and we will hold two Zoom meetings a day to share the days plan and then to catch up on what we have all been up to. We’ve also set up a dedicated webpage for our Scouts and volunteers (everyone will be contacted with details) and our supporters will be able to follow what we’ve been up to on this news page. Thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to sharing our updates with you.
